Problem Note 36449: Program editor in SAS/IML Studio 3.2 does not support DBCS characters
In SAS/IML Studio 3.2, the program editor window does not support
double-byte character set (DBCS) text. The editor does not support
loading such text from files and it does not support entering such
text from the keyboard. This limitation will be removed in the next
release of SAS/IML Studio.
The fact that the program editor does not support DBCS text does not
imply that an IMLPlus program cannot process DBCS textual data, which
it can. The limitation is that literal strings and program comments
embedded in the program source code cannot contain DBCS text. IML matrices
and IMLPlus DataObject objects loaded from files can contain DBCS characters.
